Interactive fitness company Mirror has designed a device that looks like a mirror. It comprises of an LCD display and functions like a personal trainer. This device will not only give real time fitness training to the user but will also motivate the user to exercise like a coach. It costs up to one lakh rupees and can be used by connecting to a smartphone. With the help of the app, users can choose the type of workout that they prefer such as Yoga, Strength Training in it. It also contains a camera, audio system and a microphone. The training sessions run in its display so that users will be able to exercise properly by looking at them.
In its display itself, the user will get all the information related to the workout. It consists of a 40-inch 1080 pixel resolution display and a 5 megapixel camera which comes with a privacy cover. The device also has an in-built microphone. It is created keeping in mind the safety and privacy of the users. The cameras and microphone in it are activated only during one-on-one personal training session. Users can also choose trainer based work out activity (yoga, strength training), session length, trainer motivational style and schedule as per their convenience. Its display will provide information on workout duration, calorie burn and average heart rate.
