Sundar Pichai to Lead ‘Alphabet’, Makers of Google Quit As CEO

Indian-origin Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google, has been handed a new responsibility. Google’s parent company Alphabet has now appointed Sundar Pichai as the chief executive officer. Larry Page and Sergey Brin, who created Google, have quit their posts citing family time and with this, their responsibility has come in the hands of Sundar Pichai.

The head of Google and its parent company is now a citizen of Indian-origin, which is a major achievement. Google was started in 1997, after which the world of information technology has changed.

However, as Google grew and tried its luck in other areas, the Alphabet was created in 2015 with the aim of leading all other Google-related projects. With this, transparency was to be implemented equally in all the projects of the company.

Google first started as a search engine, but when it became successful, after 2004 it started spreading its footsteps. First search engines, then Google Map, Google Photos, YouTube, Google Devices, Google Cloud, etc. co-companies were included, all these companies were running under the leadership of Alphabet.
